ABOUT SWPPP NOW

Construction Has Enough Moving Parts.

Getting a SWPPP shouldn't be one of the things slowing you down.

You've got crews to manage, schedules to keep, and a job to get moving.

Then somewhere along the way, somebody tells you that you need a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan.

And possibly a permit filing. And inspections. And someone with a particular professional certification.

Before you know it, you're trying to figure out which rules apply to your project instead of working on the project itself.

That's why we built SWPPP Now.

We're a small, founder-led company focused on preparing site-specific SWPPPs and helping construction professionals understand what their projects actually require.

Our goal is simple: get the paperwork handled quickly, make the next steps clear, and let you get back to building.

THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE WORK

Meet the Founders.

SWPPP Now was founded by Devin and Karleena Fonseca.

We're a husband-and-wife team with backgrounds in operations, technology, and keeping complicated work organized.

We didn't want to build another business that makes customers jump through hoops just to find out what they need.

We wanted to build a better process.

Devin Fonseca

Co-Founder · SWPPP Preparation & Systems

Devin leads SWPPP preparation and project review at SWPPP Now.

He holds a master's degree in Data Science from the University of Connecticut and previously worked as Operations Manager at Earth Core Energy Services and IT Manager at Rhino-Back Roofing.

His background is in solving complicated problems by building reliable, repeatable systems.

He spent months developing SWPPP Now's preparation process to help identify project-specific requirements, organize the work, and systematically check the documentation before it goes out.

The goal isn't to remove people from the process. It's to make better use of their time and attention.

Karleena Fonseca

Co-Founder · Operations & Client Coordination

Karleena helps keep the administrative side of SWPPP Now organized and the customer experience straightforward.

Her background includes coordinating service contracts, customer records, invoicing information, and operational reporting at Earth Core Energy Services.

She focuses on the details that make projects easier to work through: organized information, clear communication, and dependable follow-through.

Because a fast preparation process isn't worth much if nobody can tell you what's happening with your project.

OUR APPROACH

We Built a System to Handle the Complicated Part.

A SWPPP isn't just a document you fill in and send off.

Before preparing a site-specific plan, someone has to figure out which federal, state, and local requirements apply to the project.

Then come the practical questions.

What needs to be prepared? Which filings are required? Who's allowed to sign what? Can your own crew handle the inspections? Does a particular task require a licensed professional?

And what order does everything need to happen in?

That's a lot of work before you've even started writing the plan.

So we built a structured system to help handle that groundwork.

It evaluates project information against applicable requirements, identifies relevant tasks and professional qualifications, and organizes the work into a practical sequence.

Our team reviews the work and handles the professional judgment and responsibilities associated with the services we accept.

The system helps us move faster without treating every construction site like it's the same job with a different address.

WHY WE GIVE YOU THE REQUIREMENTS FOR FREE

The Groundwork Is Already Done. Why Keep It to Ourselves?

Here's the part we think makes SWPPP Now different.

When you send us your project, our preparation process helps identify the stormwater tasks involved, which qualifications may be needed, and what should happen next.

That's valuable information, whether you hire us or not.

So we give you the project-specific breakdown for free.

Not a generic checklist or an article explaining what SWPPP stands for.

A practical list of the tasks we've identified for your project, including what your crew may be able to handle, where qualified professionals are needed, and what to do next.

If we can prepare your SWPPP or handle other parts of the work, we'll provide a quote.

If we can take on only part of your project, we'll make the remaining responsibilities clear.

And if we can't take your project at all? You still get the breakdown.

We can offer this because much of that analysis is already part of the process we've spent months building.

You get a clearer picture of what your project needs.

We get an opportunity to earn your business by demonstrating the value of our work.

Seems like a pretty reasonable arrangement to us.

READY TO GET MOVING?

Let's Figure Out What Your Project Needs.

Start by sending us your civil drawings and a few details about the job.

We'll review the requirements, prepare your free project-specific breakdown, and provide a quote for the services we're able to handle.

We usually respond within 24 hours, and our SWPPP preparation process is designed around a typical 72-hour target for accepted projects with the necessary information available.

No obligation to hire us.
